Washington State Quarterback Cameron Ward plans to enter 2024 NFL draft

After an eventful month full of official visits to rivals FSU and Miami, transfer QB Cam Ward decided he was going to the draft.

FSU and Miami were the two front runners for the highly touted transfer QB. FSU is now left with the option of Dj Uiagalelei, a transfer QB from Oregon State. Miami does not have a backup option and will have to go searching again.

Ward started off his college career at Incarnate Word as a no star recruit coming out of high school. He did very good in his second year, throwing for over 4,500 yards and 47 touchdowns. He was named an FCS All-American and won the Jerry Rice Award. He proved everyone wrong and was seen as one of the best QBs in the FCS.

He then entered the transfer portal and went to Washington State. He did the same thing with WSU, throwing for over 6,000 yards and 48 touchdowns in his two years there.

He decided to weigh his options, entering the transfer portal with one more year of eligibility as a graduate transfer. He decided the NFL draft was the best option for him.
