The Noles Land Another Key Defensive Lineman: Sione Lolohea From Oregon State
Mike Norvell is cooking in the portal. He has landed highly touted transfer DL Sione Lolohea from Oregon State. This is a big commitment for the Noles and it comes after the pickup of D-Linemen Grady Kelly and Tomiwa Durojaiye from Michigan State and West Virginia respectively. He follows former teammate DJ Uiagelelei from Oregon State to the Noles.
Lolohea was born in Tonga, an island 5,403 miles away from Mainland US. He attended Aquinas High School in California where he was a three star and the 23rd ranked defensive end in the nation. He was a highly touted prospect in the state of California.
He decided to play at Oregon State, where he shined. Last season, he was named to the All PAC 12 second team. He had 47 total tackles, 8.5 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks this past season with the Beavers.
He picked the Noles over teams such as Texas A&M and USC. He is the fourth D-Linemen to join the Noles from the transfer portal, alongside Marvin Jones Jr (EDGE), Grady Kelly, and Tomiwa Durojaiye.
This is a major pickup for the Seminoles and Mike Norvell as he has experience with playing at the biggest level.
