FSU Will Play Duke On A Friday Night
The ACC announced that FSU will be playing at Duke on a Friday night in Mid-October. It will be held at Wallace Wade Stadium.
This came out a day after they announced FSU will be playing against Boston College on Labor Day after their week 0 game in Ireland against Georgia Tech. To this point, this is the games we know:
- Week 0: Georgia Tech (Aer Lingus College Football Classic)
- Week 1: Boston College
- Week 3: Unknown
- Week 4: Memphis
- Week 5: Unknown
- Week 6: Unknown
- Week 7: Unknown
- Week 8: at Duke
- Week 9: Unknown
- Week 10: Unknown
- Week 11: at Notre Dame
- Week 12: Unknown
- Week 13: Charleston Southern
- Week 14: Florida
Keep in mind FSU will get two bye weeks due to playing in a Week 0 matchup.
The Seminoles will get to face off against a familiar face. Manny Diaz was announced as Duke’s new head coach a few months ago after Mike Elko left to be the new coach at Texas A&M. Diaz was the coach at Miami for 3 seasons before getting fired. Diaz graduated from FSU and actually coached at FSU for a short period of time in the late 90s.
