FSU starting renovations to Doak Campbell Stadium

The end of an era has finally come as construction crews are currently undergoing the largest renovation project in quite some time to Doak Campbell Stadium. According to the renovations website, they aim to “maintain Doak Campbell Stadium as one of the best venues in all collegiate sports”. This includes placing a large emphasis on luxury seating and club areas.

The last time Doak received a major renovation was after the 2015 season when renovation began on the south-east endzone. This only impacted a single endzone and a majority of the stadium still remained at its current state.

With this new renovation, the west side of the stadium will be completely upgraded to luxury seating and brand new club areas. Between the 10 yard lines, every seat will be individual chair back seating.

According to the official website the earliest minor renovations began in early 2023 and the latest installments will be finished in summer ‘25 however most renovations will be over before the 2024 season if the schedule is maintained. The west end zone will be completed in time for the opening game against Alabama in the 2025 season.

This is what is currently looks like. Most of the seating has been torn out by construction crews. The renovation will not be completed in time for the 2024-25 season so Doak will be getting temporary bleacher seating.

This seating will only seat about 7,000 fans on the east side.

No information has been publicly shared regarding the 2024 Spring Game or any events being held at Doak other than regular season football games during this timeline however it is expected information will be released shortly.
