FSU hiring Rick Stockstill as offensive analyst
The Seminoles are welcoming back former FSU QB Rick Stockstill to Tallahassee as an offensive analyst. He will be the director of scouting for the offensive side of the ball.
The former Middle Tennessee State head coach from 2006-2023 amassed a 113-111 record with the Blue Raiders. He led MTSU to a blowout 45-31 win over rival Miami last season but got fired this past season after going 4-8.
He played at FSU under Bobby Bowden at the beginning of his long run as head coach from 1977-1981. He earned an All-American honorable mention while at FSU. He was inducted into the FSU athletic’s hall of fame in 2019.
Stockstill is a great addition to this staff as he has a lot of experience on the offensive side of the ball. With over 40 years of coaching experience, he knows the sport in and out. He knows what to look for when scouting players and has a personal tie to the Seminoles.
