College Football Playoff Times and Dates Released

Earlier today, the College Football Playoff Committee released the time and dates of the 2025 playoffs. This year is the first time we will see the 12 team playoff so it will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

The first round will be played on the weekend from December 20th to the 21st. On the 20th, there is one game at 8 PM and on Saturday the 21st, there will be a full slate of games starting at noon and going to 8 PM. They will go face to face with the NFL regular season Week 17 games on that Saturday. The games will be played at the higher seed’s campus.

The quarterfinals will be played on a Tuesday and Wednesday which is the 31st and the 1st of January. They will be played on neutral site with the usual New Years Six bowl games hosting. Then, the semifinals will be played on Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th both at 7:30 PM. The championship game will be played on Monday, January 20th at 7:30.

Many fans have backlashed for the continuation of the National Championship game being played on a Monday:

The Noles will be looking to make the playoffs this upcoming season after the travesty that happened last season where they were left out in favor of Alabama. If they win the ACC championship, they get an automatic bid. If they do not win the ACC championship, they will have to be top 11 because the #12 spot is guaranteed to the top group of 5 team.

I believe the Noles have a real shot at making it this year due to the strength of schedule as well as our new transfers. My guess is that we will have to win at least 10 games to have a chance at making the playoffs.
