FSU Lands Former WVU DL Tomiwa Durojaiye

Florida State has landed former West Virginia Defensive lineman Tomiwa Durojaiye. The 6’4 277 Defensive lineman had 23 tackles and 3.5 sacks on the year. The freshman will still have 3 years of eligibility to develop and turn into a solid starter for the Noles.

FSU beat out big name schools such as Auburn and Miami. He played high school ball in Delaware where he was the number two player in the state and number 130 at his position.

Durojaiye committed to the Kentucky Wildcats where he played a single year. After that year he decided to hit the portal where he then committed to West Virginia. After one year with the mountaineers he announced his decision to enter the transfer portal in the first few days of the new year, he decided to come home and join the tribe.

He should be a very valuable depth piece for the noles for the upcoming years and may eventually solidify himself as a starter. The coaching staff has shown great upside in evolving defensive lineman such as Jermaine Johnson, a first round pick in 2022, and Jared Verse, a projected top 20 pick in this year’s draft.

Durojaiye’s versatile ability will be something to look out for when watching him on gameday.
