Breaking: FSU Lands Big Playmaker Jaylin Lucas From Indiana
TALLAHASSEE FL – Mike Norvell is now 2/2 on the day, landing RB Jaylin Lucas from Indiana. The 5-9 dynamic playmaker is brother of current FSU WR Ja’Khi Douglas. While he is short, he is fast and twitchy and can also be a return specialist, replacing Keon Coleman who is going to the draft.
Lucas came out of high school as a three star prospect according to 247 sports from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was ranked as the 51st best player to come out of LA in the 2022 class. He was a multi sport athlete, playing track as well. You can see the track speed show, as he outruns defenders left and right.
He will join Lawrence Toafili and Caziah Holmes in the RB room next year, but he is mainly going to be used to return punts and kickoffs. He chose FSU over teams such as Louisville, Oklahoma State, Penn State and Mississippi State.
Over his two years with the Hoosiers, he ran for a combined 546 yards with 4 touchdowns. While these stats do not look too eye popping, his return game is where he shines. He has 1,163 total yards of return yards with 3 return touchdowns in his two years.
Jaylin Lucas is a great addition to the offense, adding depth to the RB room and getting a return guy. He joins the other commitment of the day with DL Grady Kelly announcing earlier this morning.
